Tour Overview
Roopkund Trek is one of India's most iconic high-altitude treks, culminating at the glacial Roopkund Lake (15,696 ft / 4,784 m) β famously known as the Skeleton Lake due to hundreds of ancient human skeletal remains found at its edges. The trek traverses through dense oak and rhododendron forests, the sprawling alpine meadows of Ali Bugyal and Bedni Bugyal (among Asia's largest), and offers jaw-dropping 360-degree views of peaks like Trishul (7,120 m), Nanda Ghunti (6,309 m), and Chaukhamba (7,138 m). This challenging trek demands good fitness but rewards with an experience that blends natural grandeur with archaeological mystery.
