About Dayara Bugyal Trek
Dayara Bugyal is a wide alpine meadow at 3,408 m near Uttarkashi, accessible from Barsu village. In spring the grassland is studded with wildflowers; in winter the same slope serves as a ski run for beginners. The views across Bandarpoonch, Srikanth and Draupadi Ka Danda are unobstructed from the meadow edge.
The trek is among the easiest in Uttarakhand — a two-day ascent is possible — making it a strong first-time choice. The rhododendron forest below the bugyal is spectacular in March and April when the trees are in full flower.
