About Nag Tibba Trek

Nag Tibba — meaning "serpent's peak" — is the highest peak in the lower Himalayas of Garhwal at 3,022 m. It is 55 km from Dehradun, making it the most accessible Himalayan overnight trek from the Uttarakhand capital. The trail from Pantwari village (1,675 m) gains 1,300 m through dense oak, deodar and rhododendron.

Most trekkers camp overnight below the summit and ascend the final ridge at dawn for views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch and the Kedarnath range. The summit also holds a Nag Devta shrine. Winter visits (November to February) bring snow from 2,200 m upward.
