About Pindari Glacier Trek

The Pindari Glacier feeds the Pindar river and is the easiest glacier trek in Kumaon. The route from Song or Khati winds through dense forest past the Dwali confluence before opening to boulder-strewn terrain near the glacier snout. The endpoint — locally called Zero Point — gives an eye-level view of Nanda Kot (6,861 m).

This trek sees fewer visitors than Garhwal's popular routes, and the lower sections pass through genuine Kumaon village life in Khati and Wachham. The approach road from Bageshwar serves as the gateway, with most trekkers using Almora or Nainital as the staging point.
